The Baltimore Ravens advanced to their third AFC Championship in five years after defeating the Denver Broncos 38-35 in a thrilling double overtime game.
Quarterback Joe Flacco found wide receiver Jacoby Jones for a 70-yard touchdown pass with just 36 seconds left in regulation to the game at 35.
In a back an fourth match-up in overtime both teams exchanged drives however were unable to capitalize either defense. It wasn’t until the second overtime when Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning threw his second interception of the game and it proved costly.
Three plays later rookie kicker Justin Tucker booted a 47 yard game-winning field goal. Flacco outgunned Manning and finished the game 18-of 34, 331 yards and 3 touchdowns to Manning’s 28-of-43, 290 yards, 3 touchdowns and 2 INT’s.
The Ravens will travel to either the New England Patriots or Houston Texans for the AFC title game next Sunday.
