In an otherwise dismal game, it was interesting to see how quickly the Washington Redskins special teams unit could get a field goal off without a timeout and the clock winding down.
Following Monday night’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers, Kai Forbath told me he had plenty of time and didn’t feel rushed before successfully connecting on his second field goal of the game while time expired in the first half.
“We hit a couple (in practice) every week, not always with the team like that, but we get a few just so we can actually go out there and do it and it’s not a total mess out there,” Forbath said of practicing hurried attempts.
What is the least amount of time he needs to get the kick off?
“Between 12 and 15 seconds,” he told me.
