Stanford Routt To Visit Buffalo Bills; Tennessee Titans Also Interested

It didn't take long for Stanford Routt's phone to start ringing after word got out he was released by the Oakland Raiders on Thursday.

OAKLAND (FNN Media) — It didn’t take long for Stanford Routt’s phone to start ringing after word got out he was released by the Oakland Raiders on Thursday.

The cornerback is scheduled to meet with the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

In addition, Routt’s agent has also been in contact with the Tennessee Titans, but has not yet scheduled a visit according to Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean.

Routt’s $5 million base salary for 2012 would have been guaranteed if he were on the Raiders roster on Friday, which prompted the team to release him.

He is free to sign with a team as soon as he is ready because he was released.
