ASHBURN, Va. (FNN Media) — Robert Griffin III continued to get the proverbial “thumbs up” from his teammates as the Washington Redskins kicked off their mandatory minicamp.
Jammal Brown, who could prove critical in protecting the rookie at right tackle, has been impressed by Griffin’s quick progress and development.
“He looks good,” Brown told LaVar Arrington and Chad Dukes on 106.7 The Fan Tuesday afternoon. “The first couple of days he looked like a rookie, but now after being in the bush it seems like things are coming smooth to him.”
Receiver Josh Morgan, a DC native who is entering his first year with the Redskins, echoed Brown’s sentiments, perhaps taking it a step further.
“He’s looking real good,” he said. “He’s making some unbelievable plays out here. He’s showing off his arm strength a little bit. He’s just getting a better feel, you can see him getting more comfortable as the weeks go on.”
Griffin said he had an “ah-ha” moment last week in which a lot of what Mike and Kyle Shanahan had been teaching him began to click.
