Report: Redskins Meeting With RGIII & Luck Before Draft

The Washington Redskins plan to meet with Robert Griffin III and Andrew Luck again before the NFL Draft.

WASHINGTON (FNN Media) — The Washington Redskins aren’t wasting any time with Robert Griffin III… or Andrew Luck for that matter.

Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan traveled to Waco, Texas to visit with Griffin according to Chick Hernandez of CSN Washington. Shanahan plans to meet with the Heisman Trophy winner from Baylor a couple of times each week for the next several weeks, Hernandez added.

Apparently, the team plans to do the same with Luck.

It is unclear whether each of the meetings will be face-to-face.

Bob Kravitz of the Indianapolis Star recently guaranteed the Colts would select Andrew Luck with the top overall pick in this year’s draft, paving the way for the Redskins to make Griffin the future of the franchise.

In recent weeks there had been speculation Indianapolis would surprisingly make Griffin the top pick in the draft. Such talk has died down since Griffin declined the Colts request for a private workout.

“If there was any minuscule chance that he had at going No. 1, yeah, maybe he lost that,” Kravitz said of Griffin’s decision. “But this has been a done deal for a long time. It will be Andrew Luck [going first], I can guarantee you.”
