Jeff Fisher has not yet received an offer from the Miami Dolphins or St. Louis Rams to become their next head coach.
It was widely believed Fisher would have made his decision by this point. However, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that no decision has been made because no offer has been made.
The long time coach of the Tennessee Titans does not want to jump into another coaching job just to return to the NFL.
Instead, Fisher is patiently doing his research and making sure that whatever situation he finds himself in next is an ideal one.
“This is not about money,” the source told Schefter. “This is not about negotiating. This is about winning.”
While Fisher continues to play the waiting and leverage game, both teams are moving forward with their coaching search and have been interviewing other candidates.
