ORIGINAL STORY

Washington Redskins tight end Fred Davis sustained a left Achilles injury and had to be carted to the locker room Sunday against the New York Giants.

Davis was assisted off the field after a 3rd and goal play late in the first quarter.

The tight end appeared to have suffered the injury while cutting to the right in the back of the end zone.

He was assisted off the field, hopped on one leg to the training table and eventually driven to the locker room.

Washington says Davis will not return.
