Redskins’ Adam Carriker Interviews WWE Wrestler Heath Slater

Making WWE news, Washington Redskins defensive end Adam Carriker and co-host Chuck Carroll interviewed WWE Superstar Heath Slater. It was Carriker's first time being the interviewer.

WASHINGTON (FNN Media) — Washington Redskins defensive end Adam Carriker has officially become a full-fledged member of the media. On his weekly radio show “4th and Pain” Carriker had the opportunity to interview WWE Superstar Heath Slater. It was the first time Carriker was on the other side of the proverbial camera (only this was radio so that doesn’t really apply).

Carrker and co-host Chuck Carroll came to a shocking revelation . . . Slater is not a Redskins fan. Further, Robert Griffin III may not be as big of a name nationally as many inside the Beltway would believe.

In fact, Carriker and Carroll actually hit Slater with some NFL knowledge and explained the gravity of RGIII’s addition to the Redskins roster to Slater. They suspect Slater will use what he learned to try to impress John Cena and Kofi Kingston whom he says are the biggest NFL fans in the WWE locker room.

Slater grew up in West Virginia and is a big fan of WVU Mountaineers and Marshall Thundering Herd. As for the NFL? The ‘One Man Southern Rock Band’ has a soft spot for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

When he admitted that, Carriker was quick to point out Pittsburgh is on the Redskins schedule this season.

“I’ll see if I can’t take some anger out of them for you,” Carriker jokingly told the WWE talent.

Carriker actually carried himself very well in the interview. He’s got a natural talent behind the mic. . . then again, as his co-host, I’m a bit biased.
