In a game that looked more like a preseason game the Baltimore Ravens fell to the Cincinnati Bengals 23-17.
The Ravens (4th seed) and Bengals (6th seed) were both locked into postseason berths coming into the game and each teams starters saw limited action.
Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco played a few series and finished the day 4-of-8 for 34 yards passing. Running back Ray Rice also saw limited action as well finished his afternoon rushing for 5-yards on three carries. Back-up running back Bernard Pierce continued to shine in his role. Pierce rushed for 89 yards on 22 carries.
Ravens quarterback Tyrod Taylor took over for Flacco and produced a solid outing against a Bengals defense full of starters for the first half. Taylor was 15-of-25 for 150 yards one rushing touchdown and one interception.
Cincy took the opposite approach as the Ravens and played many key starters throughout the first and second half. Quarterback Andy Dalton stuttered with the offense for much of the first half before finding Marvin Jones for a 11 yard touchdown pass before halftime.
Dalton finished the afternoon 10-of-15 for 78 yards and one touchdown pass.
The Ravens and Bengals will have to wait until after the New England Game and the Denver Broncos game to find out when they will play next. The Ravens will host a home playoff game either Saturday or Sunday.
