The Ravens take a 17-7 lead into halftime in a  hard-hitting smash-mouth style first half between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Baltimore Ravens.

After turning the ball in the endzone quarterback Michael Vick got a second chance when Eagles lineman Trent Cole stripped Joe Flacco on their first offensive possession. Vick, has been knocked down numerous times however steered the Eagles to the first score of the game on running back LeSean McCoy’s one yard run.

Vick finished the first half 10-of-13 for 155 yards and one interception, while McCoy ran for 52-yards, one touchdown and a fumble.

Baltimore answered back with an impressive drive and tied the Eagles at 7-7 when fullback Vonta Leach scored his first rushing touchdown as a Raven.

After a 43 yard scamper by running back Ray Rice, quarterback Joe Flacco connected on a 21-yard touchdown pass to Jacoby Jones making it 14-7 midway through the second quarter. Flacco finished the first half 13-of-16 for 92 yards and one touchdown.

Rice finished the half rushing for 78-yards on seven carries.

Rookie kicker Justin Tucker drilled a 56-yard field goal as time expired in the first half.
