The Baltimore Ravens added some depth to their run defense by signing defensive tackle Ma’ake Kemoeatu on Wednesday.
Kemoeatu, who recently spent the last two seasons with the Washington Redskins starting 12 games in 2010 and missing the entire 2011 season with serious Achilles tendon and shoulder injuries.
The 6-foot-5, 364-pounder was originally signed by the Ravens as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Utah in 2002. He was a role player on the defensive line his first three years with the team, and then started all 16 games in 2005. The lineman registered 40 tackles and a sack that season, becoming an attractive free agent the following offseason.
