Despite the return of veteran linebacker Terrell Suggs the Baltimore Ravens were throttled in Houston on Sunday afternoon 43-13.

Baltimore fell to 5-2 on the season while the Texans improved to 6-1 with both teams heading into their bye week.

The Texans dominated in all phases of the football game. Quarterback Matt Schaub had a solid day against a pourous Ravens secondary missing star cornerback Lardarius Webb. Schaub picked apart the Ravens for 256 yards passing and two touchdowns.

The Ravens run defense started off on point however quickly fell off after the first half. Texans running back Arian Foster shredded the Ravens rushing for 98 yards and two touchdowns.

Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense failed to establish a rhythm throughout the entire game. Behind a sloppy offensive line Flacco managed to finish the afternoon 21-of-43 for 147 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

The Ravens running game didn’t fair much better against the Texans stout defense who came to play. running back Ray Rice was contained to 42 yards rushing on just nine carries.

With the rash of injuries the Ravens have gone through over the last week, the Ravens bye week could not get here soon enough.
