Graham Gano has won another kicking competition.

The Washington Redskins released Neil Rackers on Monday, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Three preseason contests yielded few opportunities for the two to compete in game situations.

Rackers was successful on a 28-yard kick, but missed from 54 yards against the Chicago Bears — his only attempts of the preseason.

Gano has not attempted a field goal this preseason, but is 5-for-5 in PAT attempts.

He is entering his third full season in Washington. Of his 10 misses in 2011, five were blocked kicks.
