PHILADELPHIA (FNN Media) — Plaxico Burress wants to return to the NFC East via the Philadelphia Eagles, it was reported.
After serving nearly two years in a New York prison on gun charges, Burress caught 45 passes for 612 yards and eight touchdowns with the New York Jets.
At 34-years-old, he showed he can still be productive. He made no secret of the fact he stayed in good shape while incarcerated. And two years away from daily contact has shed a couple seasons off his “NFL age.”
NBC10′s Howard Eskin said Burress “badly” wants to join the team.
And perhaps the Eagles would be interested.
Eskin believes the team will take a hard look at signing him.
