(FNN Media) — The NFL is confident they will play a game in London next season. What’s unclear is whether the St. Louis Rams will be one of the teams competing.

NFL UK announced it will continue its temporary postponement of general admission ticket sales for the October 28 game between the Rams and New England Patriots.

Per a statement on the NFL UK website, the reason for the postponement is to allow the Rams and their stadium authority time to finalize the technical amendments to their dealt that would permit them to play at Wembley Stadium.

St. Louis is optimistic they will have a resolution in the near future.

“We’re going to play the London games,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. “We hope it will be with the Rams and the New England Patriots next year. That’s what we planned . . . but there are issues that obviously are going to have to get resolved. We know there are discussions going on. We hope they will get resolved shortly.”
