If Brandon Banks is going to be on the Washington Redskins this season, he’ll have to carry more of the load than just as a return specialist.

Mike Shanahan informed the undersized Banks that he’ll have to make the squad as a wide receiver this year in addition to the return duties.

In response to the challenge, the speedster added 10 pounds of muscle this offseason according to Shanahan.

The coach also said he challenged Banks to compete with Santana Moss for a receiver spot this year. Moss shed 10 – 15 pounds and reported to offseason activities in phenomenal shape.

Fellow receiver Terrence Austin recently told 106.7 The Fan that he would like an opportunity to also serve as punt and kick returner.
