WASHINGTON (FNN Media) — Raleigh McKenzie, an original member of The Hogs, is following his twin brother and joining the Oakland Raiders.
McKenzie, who played for the Washington Redskins from 1985 to 1994, will work in some capacity in the Raiders’ personnel department under his brother Reggie, the team’s General Manager according to multiple reports.
“Rallo” captured two Super Bowl rings with Washington in 1987 and 1991 and was named as one of the 70 Greatest Redskins in 2002.
McKenzie’s NFL career spanned 16 seasons, the first 10 of which were with the Redskins.
His career also included two-year stints with the Philadelphia Eagles and San Diego Chargers before concluding in 2000 with the Green Bay Packers.
Most recently the 49-year-old had been working as an assistant coach for Herndon High School’s football team in Northern Virginia.
