The Oakland Raiders head coaching search should kick into overdrive this week now that the Green Bay Packers have been eliminated from the playoffs.

With Reggie McKenzie now in charge, Packers assistants are thought to be the front-runners to succeed Hue Jackson. However, Miami Dolphins interim head coach Todd Bowles was told the position had not been earmarked for anyone.

On the Raiders list of candidates from Green Bay are defensive coordinator Dom Capers, offensive coordinator Joe Philbin, quarterbacks coach Tom Clements and assistant head coach / linebackers coach Winston Moss.

Moss’ name has been mentioned most frequently in the coaching rumor mill. And with the recent turn of events in the organization it wouldn’t be a stretch to say where there is smoke, there is fire.
