The Baltimore Ravens announced the signing of eight year veteran tight end Billy Bajema on Wednesday.

Bajema, the former Ram and San Francisco 49er was added to the roster to replace injured tight end Dennis Pitta who is out with a broken hand.

The seventh-round pick out of Oklahoma State spent the last three seasons with the St. Louis Rams where he played in all 16 games and starting 12. Bajema has 38 receptions for 398 yards and two touchdowns in his career and is more of a blocking tight end.

To make room on the roster for Bajema the Ravens released undrafted rookie quarterback John Brantley.
