Michael Oher may finally have his feet firmly planted at the right tackle position.

Oher, who is entering his fourth NFL season appears as if he can prepare for a second straight season at one position Baltimore Ravens.com is reporting. Left tackle Bryant McKinnie is under contract for another year and Oher can finally remain at right tackle.

The 2009 first-round pick began his career as a right tackle, but also stepped in for the injured Jared Gaither for five games on the left side. He fully switched to the blind side for his sophomore campaign and started all 16 games there. “It’s not easy to do at all. It takes time to get used to,” Oher told The Norris & Davis Show on 105.7 The Fan. “So this offseason I can work at it a little bit more. If I can play one position, that would be great. It helps you out.”

“I’m just playing football, whatever position they want me to play,” Oher said. “If McKinnie comes back, he’s a great player and he did great. I play right tackle. That’s what I played my first year, half my first year. It doesn’t matter as long as we’re winning games and getting to championships.”

Oher is spending part of the offseason promoting the paperback release “I Beat the Odds.”
