Lorenzo Alexander will start in place of London Fletcher for Saturday night’s contest against the Chicago Bears, the Washington Redskins announced.
Alexander recorded two tackles in the team’s preseason opener against the Buffalo Bills.
Offensively, Alfred Morris will start in the backfield and is expected to see substantial action. Adam Gettis will start at right guard in place of Chris Chester while Tyler Polumbus continues to spell the injured Jammal Brown at right tackle.
Trent Williams, who had been battling a foot bruise, will start at left tackle.
Maurice Hurt (left guard), Leonard Hankerson (wide receiver) and Chris Cooley (fullback) are also in the starting lineup.
On special teams, Neil Rackers will get first crack at the kicking battle, starting ahead of Graham Gano. Gano struggled during practice at points in the week leading up to the game.
