The Oakland Raiders enter Sunday’s season finale against the Kansas City Chiefs with their heads held high.
The team has plenty to play for, perhaps even Tom Cable’s job. Finishing the season 6-0 would go a long way to putting a feather in the cap of their best season in year.
For the first time since 2002 the Raiders have an opportunity to finish the year with better than a losing record.
And despite the fact they were eliminated from playoff contention last weekend, the Raiders were full-speed ahead this week at practice.
“I like where we’re at and what we’re trying to do,” Cable said following Friday’s final practice of the season. “We have a goal of trying to win the game this week and I think everybody is into that.”
The question remains whether the team will be going for the win with Richard Seymour and Darren McFadden in the lineup. Both players missed practice this week due to injury.
Cable conceded McFadden was more likely to play than Seymour.
