All 32 NFL franchise were ranked among the 50 most valuable sports teams in the world according to Forbes Magazine.

That’s saying something.

In a time when players and owners are haggling over money (hopefully not for much longer), it should be noted even the least valuable team in the NFL–the Jacksonville Jaguars–is worth $725 million according to the report.

The league’s annual revenue of $9 billion is expected to more than double to $20 billion by the time the next collective bargaining agreement expires sometime in the next ten years.

There is no slowing the NFL’s growth and there is no stopping its enormous popularity. No wonder the league is looking at global expansion.

Granted the top franchise in all the world is of the other variety of football. The Manchester United took top honors with an estimated value of $1.86 billion. Of course there is also the well-known connection to the NFL as the football club shares the same owners as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who finished 18th on the list with an estimated value of $1.03 billion.

It’s good to be the Glazer family… for the most part.
