The Miami Dolphins have been hesitant to address their quarterback situation up to this point.

The team was hesitant to invest in a quarterback in this year’s NFL Draft. Let’s face it, the risk vs. reward on an unproven talents coming out of college is never a sure thing. No pressure, Cam Newton.

The team could be opting to play it safe and wait until the free agency period begins before bringing in competition for Chad Henne.

The latest name to enter the mix is Carolina Panthers free agent quarterback Matt Moore, as speculated by the Palm Beach Post.

Ben Volin points out Tony Sparano and Gneral Manager Jeff Ireland were both employed by the Dallas Cowboys when Moore was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2007.

The Panthers quarterback corps is already crowded with Newton, Jimmy Clausen, Tony Pike and the oft-forgotten Brian St. Pierre, making the Panthers less likely to re-sign the free agent.
