Detroit Lions wide receiver Nate Burleson won’t be taking part in any Lions organized team activites for some time, as he is leaving for his home in Seattle.
Burleson will undergone minor surgery on his injured elbow, according to a report in the Detroit Free Press.
Burleson injured his elbow on November 21st in a game against the Dallas Cowboys. Burleson said that the elbow needs to have a minor procedure, having some fluid drained and a bursa sac needs to be removed.
Burleson signed with the Lions in 2010 after spending four years with the Seahawks in his hometown of Seattle. He was originally drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 2003. Burleson started 14 games last season, catching 55 passes for 625 yards and seven touchdowns.
