Free agency and trade speculation is soooo much fun because each and every day there are new twists and turns to it all, and now the latest regarding Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton has him side-by-side with Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer.
We reported here on FootballNewsNow.com that Palmer sold his Cincinnati area home, and is headed back to California with his family. Now put Orton in that “player-who-sold-his-home” mix.
The word from William Boor at ArizonaSports.com is that Orton’s “neighbors say he moved out of the house he was leasing in Denver.”
You can look into this a number of different ways.
1.) Like Boor said, maybe Orton is under the impression that he is “the man” in Denver, and he’s looking for more permanent accommodations, or
2.) He thinks his time is done in Colorado, like Palmer does in Cincinnati, so he’s unloading his property for a move, possibly to Arizona.
Now if TMZ spotted Orton in Scottsdale, Fountain Hills or Litchfield Park, Ariz., looking for a home, then I would have a new outlook on this, but as it stands, it’s just a man selling some real estate. No big deal.
In other Cardinals news, this is per The Bakersfield Californian.
“Four dogs owned by NFL star Joey Porter got loose early July 2 from his northwest Bakersfield residence and killed a neighbor’s dog.”
“Porter was cited for not having the dogs on a leash, county Animal Control spokeswoman Kim Rodriguez said. She said it was unclear how the dogs got out of their kennel,” said The Californian.
This isn’t the first run-in Porter and his dogs have had with an animal.
In 2006, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that two of Porter’s dogs got loose from his then-Pennsylvania home and killed a miniature horse on a nearby farm.
Porter was then a member of the Steelers.
