Free agent defensive end Jay Richardson and Chuck Carroll were back with another installment of the JRich Report for NFL Week 2 on Football News Now and the EYES Radio Network.
Segment One
The first segment was dominated by talk of Ohio State and the UFL. Former Buckeye running back Maurice Clarett is trying to recruit Richardson to join the UFL with him . . . sort of. Jay would certainly be open to it.
Did you know Denzel Washington was a big UFL fan? It’s true, though largely because his son plays in the league.
Ohio State vs. Miami was also brought up.
Chuck and Jay somehow also got on the much talked about topic of Maryland’s uniforms. Neither was a fan.
Segment Two
This was the Oakland Raiders segment.
Chuck and Jay opened with talk about the Terrelle Pryor suspension appeal. What does it really mean for Pryor? Will a shortened or lifted suspension actually benefit the rookie?
Was it even fair for Roger Goodell to suspend him?
Kevin Boss vs. Zach Miller was also discussed.
Keys to Sunday’s contest against Buffalo Bills debated.
Kicking it into the record books: Sebastian Janikowski’s big boot talked about. That’s Jay’s boy.
And NFL Week 1 wrap-up.
Segment Three
Pick ‘em! Jay and Chuck, both of whom are unemployed, somehow get into a wager over four games this week.
The pair agreed the Raiders, Redskins, Steelers and Browns will win.
They split on Giants and Rams–if only by default.
Plus a little boxing talk. Floyd Mayweather is a beast.
