Two members of the Dallas Cowboys decided to take on another sport this weekend in the name of charity. Tight end Martellus Bennett and defensive end Marcus Spears participated in the Josh Howard Celebrity Basketball Game this weekend in Dallas, Texas.
Of course Washington Wizards guard Josh Howard had to get some professional basketball players in the game to make the football players look bad. So Denver Nuggets forward Kenyon Martin and Utah Jazz guard Devin Harris, among others are competed as well, according to Clarence Hill at cowboyszone.com.
There’s one more NFL player worth mentioning, Cincinnati Bengals, and former Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens. It’s a good thing Tony Romo won’t be there, or he might get blamed in the event T.O.’s team loses.
Other members of the Dallas Cowboys who attending the event are guard Andre Gurode, running back Felix Jones, tight end Jason Witten, quarterback Stephen McGee, tight end John Phillips and former defensive back Pat Watkins, who now plays for the San Diego Chargers.
The game is all part of the 5th annual Josh Howard Weekend, which this year included an all day sports camp for kids seven and older, as well as a celebrity comedy show, which all benefit the Josh Howard Foundation.
