Bryant McKinnie, offensive tackle for the Minnesota Vikings, won’t get a chance to play in the Pro Bowl on Sunday.
The NFL announced that McKinnie missed practice on Friday and Saturday. Both were unexcused absences. In addition to being dismissed from the NFC Pro Bowl team he will also be subject to a fine.
It was to be McKinnie’s first appearance in the Pro Bowl. His agent did not respond to messages seeking comment.
More than a dozen players from the initial roster have been scratched for Sunday’s game in Miami.
