Ray Edwards
Minnesota Vikings defensive end Ray Edwards has a mild sprain of the medial collateral ligament in his right knee, but should okay to play in Sunday’s NFC Championship game against the New Orleans Saints according to Steve Wyche of NFL.com.
After having a monster game in the first two and a half quarters against the Cowboys last Sunday, Edwards injured his knee and had to leave the game.
Prior to his exit, Edwards had three sacks and six quarterback hurries on Tony Romo.
Vikings coach Brad Childress called Edwards a “tough guy,” but didn’t officially say that he would be available for the Saints.
