Charlie Frye will undergo wrist surgery on Wednesday.
The usual suspects (and a few others) missed the Oakland Raiders practice sessions Tuesday.
In total, ten players sat out. Darrius Heyward-Bey, Paul Hubbard, Chaz Schilens, Darren McFadden, Tony Stewart, Charlie Frye, Swayze Waters, Sam Williams, Jay Richardson and Chris Johnson all missed practice.
While Richardson underwent knee surgery on Tuesday, Frye will try to solve his mysterious hand issues on with a surgical procedure of his own on Wednesday.
“There is an issue with the wrist,” Raiders coach Tom Cable told reporters. “I don’t know the medical term of it, but he is having a procedure tomorrow and we will know more after that.”
We reported yesterday that Frye is a longshot to make the team and could wind up with an injury settlement and walking papers.
