Tony Romo finished second, tied with John Elway, at the American Century Championship.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo tied for second with former Denver Broncos great (and future owner?) John Elway, pitcher John Smoltz and actor Jack Wagner at the American Century Championship golf tournament this weekend.
But it was another former NFL quarterback that ran away with the show. Billy Joe Tolliver dominated the field to win the tournament for a third time.
Romo held his own in attempting to qualify for the US Open earlier this offseason, but came up short in that effort as well.
A pair of Super Bowl winning quarterbacks in Mark Rypien and Trent Dilfer also placed in the top 10.
Among other notable NFL names competing in the event were Joe Theismann, Ken Whisenhunt, Mike Shanahan, Marshall Faulk, Jerry Rice and Kyle Boller.
