Tony Brown is Ready to Play for Tennessee

Defensive tackle Tony Brown returned to practice with the Titans for the first time since injuring his right knee last season. The six-year veteran was activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list on Tuesday, and even though he will have participated in only one full practice , he wants to play in the Titans final pre-season game against New Orleans.

“I’m ready,” Brown said. “I’ll be out there Thursday. I don’t know how long I’ll play and that don’t even matter to me. I’ll play as long as they need me to. I’ve just decided it’s fun to be back out there running around pain-free, free of all that stuff in the past, so I’m just ready to roll.”

The twenty-nine year old player has been a starter since 2007 and has only missed two games since then. Brown does not expect to make it three on September twelfth.

When asked whether he would be ready to play during the season opener against the Oakland Raiders, Brown said, “”No doubt,” he said. “I’ll definitely be out there. I’m ready to go right now.”
