New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is relieved that he won’t go under the knife this offseason.

Despite suffering numerous injuries this season, including a broken finger, Brady just needs a little rest and relaxation to heal.

“I’m excited I don’t have to have surgery this offseason,” Brady said, per ESPN Boston. “I remember a year ago at this time there were all these concerns on whether I was going to play this year. I was never concerned about that. It’s nice to be in an offseason when I really feel like I can get started right away.”

It’s a good thing for Brady that he will be healthy heading into the final year of his contract.

He doesn’t seem too concerned about that though.

“We’re way overpaid as it is,” he said. “That’s not really a concern.”

Interesting choice of words as he is an assistant representative for the players’ union.
