Titans’ Young Replaces Philip Rivers in Pro Bowl – For 2nd Time

Congratulations goes out to Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young for being named to his 2nd pro bowl today.

The 4th year quarterback was named to the game today after Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers pulled out to be with his wife who is soon having a baby, according to Rotoworld.com.

This will be Young’s 2nd pro bowl appearance after appearing in his rookie season, ’06 - when he also replaced Phillip Rivers who pulled out due to injury. Young threw one interception in limited playing time.

“I was working out when Coach [Jeff] Fisher called me and told me the news this afternoon,” said Young today. “I was very excited to find out that I’m getting a chance to go play in the Pro Bowl. Thanks to all my teammates, coaches and fans that have supported me.”

Young led the team to an 8-2 record after the team went 0-6 with Kerry Collins under center. He threw for 1,879 yards, 10 toundowns and 1 interception during the regular season with an 82.8 QB rating.
