Prior to signing with the Cincinnati Bengals, Terrell Owens’ agent Drew Rosenhaus stated their were five teams interested in his client.
Some doubted there were actually that many, but as it turns out the super-agent was telling the truth.
The Bengals, New York Jets, St. Louis Rams, Seattle Seahawks and Oakland Raiders all had varied levels of interest in Owens, Mike Florio at PFT points out.
The Jets and Rams were the final two teams giving the Bengals a run for their money, while the Seahawks and Raiders only displayed mild interest and dropped out of the running early on.
T.O. should put pen to paper and sign with the Bengals Wednesday and promptly report to training camp.
He and the Bengals agreed to a one-year deal with a maximum $4 million value on Tuesday.
