T.O. a No-Go with Carolina Panthers

Terrell Owens

Terrell Owens is not likely to have Carolina on his mind this season.

T.O.’s list of potential teams for next season is growing shorter by the day.

Earlier this week Terrell Owens stated that he wouldn’t play for the Kansas City Chiefs because he and coach Todd Haley don’t get along.

Now, Carolina Panthers linebacker Jon Beason made it perfectly clear that the outspoken wide receiver wouldn’t be welcome on that squad.

“There’s no way T.O. could be a Panther,” Beason said in an NFL.com chat (via PFT). “Based on the fact that our ownership and coaches believe that the locker room is important and based on T.O.’s history, for whatever reason, he’s been a distraction in the locker room.”

Professionalism is important, but so is having a veteran target for young quarterbacks to throw to.

Owens could potentially lighten the load for Steve Smith once he returns from a broken arm.
