Tim Tebow
The Jacksonville Jaguars are reportedly interested in drafting Tim Tebow… at least their owner is.
The former University of Florida quarterback could help fill the seats at their home games which have been far less than full as of late.
While team owner Wayne Weaver has his eyes on the college star, coach jack Del Rio may feel differently, but he’s playing poker with reporters at the moment.
“I will have [a full scouting report] on Tim at some point, but I won’t give it to you any time soon,” Del Rio said Tuesday, per Jeremy Fowler of the Orlando Sentinel, ” It’s way too early in the process to get into those sorts of discussions.”
The Heisman Trophy winner has his critics in the NFL who feel that he will have a difficult time transitioning to the pro game. Maybe they’re right.
Tebow has been struggling at Senior Bowl practices this week and was reportedly hospitalized Monday night for strep throat according to his agent.
Still, Del Rio doesn’t sound like his focusing on all of the former Gator’s drawbacks.
“[Y]ou put your strengths out there, too,” the Jaguars coach added. “You show the league what you’re about. A lot of talk will go to what he can’t do, but as we’re all looking at it, we’re looking at what guys can do, too.”
Tim Tebow will be great where ever he is. He is a leader!!!!
