The Pittsburgh Steelers had a busy Monday signing no less than four players to their roster on the fourth day of the free agent season.

Wide receiver Antwaan Randle El is returning to the the team on which he made a name for himself in the NFL. He spent the last four seasons with the Washington Redskins before being released in last week’s bloodbath.

The team also signed another wide-receiver in Arnaz Battle. Drafted out of Notre Dame in 2003, Battle spent his first seven NFL seasons with the San Francisco 49ers.

Defensively, the team signed former Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Will Allen. He spent half of last season on injured reserve.

Randle El, Battle and Allen all signed three-year contracts.

Meanwhile, safety Ryan Clark surprisingly agreed to stay with the club on Monday after spending Sunday visiting the Miami Dolphins.

At one point it was thought that signing his contract with the fish was merely a formality. Flash forward 24-hours and he’s a Steeler again.
