Sam Bradford looked pretty good during his first day at training camp.
Hours after signing his record-breaking contract, St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford was out on the field with his new teammates. From all accounts, he seemed to hold his own.
“He looked pretty good,” Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo said. “I mean, he’s got to knock a little rust off just like we all do when we get here initially. Some of these other guys have already been here for three practices so they’re beyond that, but I thought he looked okay.”
The Heisman Trophy winner missed the team’s first three training camp practices while finalizing the details of his contract.
When asked what Bradford missed during that time, coach Spagnuolo rattled off the basics.
“A bunch of reps. Probably getting his arm loosened up,” he said. “Basically what he’s doing over there right now, which is just timing with the wideouts.”
