
Jerry Rice
The Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2010 was announced on the eve of Super Bowl XLIV in Miami, Florida.
The class is made of up of Guard Russ Grimm, linebacker Rickey Jackson, cornerback Dick LeBeau, running back Floyd Little, defensive tackle John Randle, wide receiver Jerry Rice and running back Emmitt Smith.
Grimm spent his entire playing career with the Washington Redskins as part of the renowned “Hogs” offensive line.
Rickey Jackson was a long tenured player for the New Orleans Saints (1981-1993) before wrapping up his career with the San Francisco 49ers in 1995.
Dick LeBeau, who is perhaps better known as a coach, is actually third on the interceptions list for cornerbacks in the NFL. Originally drafted by the Cleveland Browns, he would enjoy 14 seasons with the Detroit Lions before turning to a career in coaching.
Floyd Little was the first 1,000 yard rusher in Denver Broncos history and had over 12,000 all-purpose yards during the span of his career.
One of the game’s more colorful players, John Randle spent the majority of his career with the Minnesota Vikings. He would finish up with the Seattle Seahawks in 2003.
Jerry Rice is widely viewed as the greatest wide receiver to ever play the game. He owns nearly every receiving record and caught an astounding 1,549 passes and 208 touchdowns in his career.
Emmitt Smith is the the all-time leading rusher in NFL history. Smith gained 18,355 yards and scored 164 rushing touchdowns during his career with the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals.
