Tennessee Titans quarterback Chris Simms did not play during Saturday’s game at Carolina, but he expects to see time in the pre-season finale when the Titans host the defending Superbowl champion New Orleans Saints. He isn’t sure whether or not he’ll be a Titan afterwards.
“I don’t worry about it, but I am a realistic person. I say it’s 50–50 whether I am here or not. I have been around the NFL long enough to know what the heck is going on. I know we have four quarterbacks here and four pretty good ones, so we’ll see what happens.” Simms told the Tennessean.
Like all of the teams in the NFL, the Titans will have to cut their roster down to the final 53 players on Saturday, and there are still some decisions to be made.
“I think decisions have been made probably on 99 percent of the team already,” Simms said Tuesday. “There’s maybe one or two guys that can change an opinion, whether it’s my position or not, I don’t know, nor do I care. It is just about going out and doing my best and working on my craft.”
