The Cleveland Browns took the first steps in improving their quarterback situation by acquiring Seneca Wallace from the Seattle Seahawks via trade on Monday.

According to Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times the Seahawks will get an undisclosed 2011 draft pick in exchange for Wallace. The pick will likely depend on his play in Seattle.

The Browns are expected to release one of, if not both of, their current quarterbacks in Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn.

Wallace was drafted by Browns president Mike Holmgren in 2003 while he was still in Seattle.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter was the first to break the news.
