There are more signs that the Seattle Seahawks and Pete Carroll are close, very close, to putting the finishing touches a deal.

The team has canceled their scheduled interview with Chargers defensive coordinator Ron Rivera according to Peter King of SI.com.

Carroll and the Seahawks are scheduled to meet on Sunday or Monday to finalize their deal.

Carroll is eager to make the move official within the next 48 hours as the USC Trojan recruiting class has been damaged amidst all of the speculation of his departure.

Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator was interviewed on Saturday which satisfied the NFL’s Rooney Rule.

We previously reported that Carroll and the Seahawks have already reached an agreement in principle that will pay him $32.5 million – $35 million over the five season to become the teams new head coach and director of football operations.
