Robert Meachem
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Robert Meachem was able to return to practice Thursday on a limited basis. He had been sidelined with an ankle injury.
It was previously reported that he was unlikely to play Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship game, but perhaps his return gave the Saints a glimmer of hope.
Safety Darren Sharper, who missed Wednesday’s practice with a knee injury, also returned on a limited basis.
Meanwhile, tight end Jeremy Shockey (knee) and cornerback Malcom Jenkins (hamstring) missed their second straight practice.
Center Jonathan Goodwin and defensive end Bobby McCray were listed on the team’s injury report, but practiced fully according to coach Sean Payton.
