Jeremy Shockey
After signing him on Friday, the New Orleans Saints officially placed Deuce McAllister on their inactive list for their playoff game against the Arizona Cardinals.
McAllister will serve as team captain and lead them onto the field, but will not see playing time.
The good news for New Orleans is that running back Pierre Thomas and tight end Jeremy Shockey will play and give the Saints offense a boost.
Also on the team’s inactive list are quarterback Chase Daniel, defensive back Chris Reis, linebacker Anthony Waters, guard Jamar Nesbit, tight end Darnell Dinkins; tight end Tory Humphrey and defensive lineman Paul Spicer.
Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. eastern.
