The Kansas City Chiefs and Romeo Crennel have struck a deal that will make him the team’s new offensive coordinator.
The official announcement is expected on Friday according to Nick Wright of KCSP.
Most interestingly, the Chiefs are not expected to fire current coordinator Clancy Pendergast, but his new role is not yet known.
Crennel will reunite with fellow former New England Patriots coordinator Charlie Weis who signed on to take over the team’s struggling offense last week.
The pair have a proven track record, guiding New England to three Super Bowl titles in four seasons.
