It appears as though Jerry Jones has decided to bring back Dallas Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips in 2010.

The Cowboys owner promised a swift decision on his future and has delivered according to ESPN’s Ed Werder.

It is unclear as to whether Phillips will be given a contract extension or Jones will simply pick up the one year option on his current contract.

He is not expected to address the media this week.

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo seems pleased with the team’s decision to keep Phillips.

“His record speaks for itself,” Romo said on Monday, per ESPN. “He’s done a great job, kept the team together through a lot of tough times this year. He’s done a fantastic job as coach of the Cowboys.”

There had been some concern that Jones would show Phillips the door following the team’s 34-3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
