Brett Favre reportedly can dodge a legal bullet by writing a fat check
Jenn Sterger will keep quiet for a price.
Sterger, who was the alleged recipient of inappropriate photos and phone messages from Brett Favre, will decline the NFL’s request for an interview if the Minnesota Vikings quarterback is willing to meet her financial demands.
A financial settlement would include a confidentiality agreement between Favre and the former New York Jets sideline reporter that would bring a hault to the NFL’s investigation into the matter according to Jeremy Fowler of the Pioneer Press.
Because the NFL does not have the power to subpoena Sterger they cannot force her to talk.
An attorney for Sterger confirmed his client had not yet decided whether or not she’ll speak with the league. Her decision on the matter is expected early next week–meaning it’s up to Favre at this point.
