Kevin Ellison lasted less than 24 hours with the Seattle Seahawks.
Kevin Ellison’s stay in Seattle was a brief one.
The Seattle Seahawks waived the 23-year-old safety on Thursday after he failed a physical according to Howard Balzer of the St. Louis Globe-Democrat.
The team claimed him off waivers from the San Diego Chargers on Wednesday.
Ellison was hoping to reunite with Pete Carroll who coached him at USC.
He was drafted by the Chargers in the sixth-round of the 2009 NFL Draft (No. 189 overall) and recorded 53 tackles and a sack as a rookie.
Ellison is trying to get back on track following a May arrest for possession of a controlled substance where police found 100 Vicodin pills in his vehicle.
